I play blues/classic rock guitar and restore/build Porsches. My latest project is a 1991 944S2 that I swapped the engine out with a Chevy LT1 V8 out of a 96 Vette.

I do those things when I'm not working on restoring my 1930's arts and crafts style house . . . . I am very busy :o)

After reading all the posts I come down on otb's side here.
Why? Because these things happen. I had a very similar conversation with a CO back in the 90's while in service after we found out that we had both recently read some of the same books. "Fingerprints of the Gods" in particular. He's still in, I'm not..
I also had a similar conversation with an elder around the same time.
And Bryan, we used terms like"the ministry" and "the service" all the time. Regional dialect differences ya know . . :o\
i've heard the jws referred to on this site mostly as a cult.
as such, am i the only one who fears that one day the society will tell them to eliminate all of us who have been deemed apostates?
i can think of several of my old "friends" who would not hesitate to take me out.
Didn't the Borg publish a statement in a rag back in the 60's or 70's to the effect that if not for the law of the land, they would carry out the OT punishment upon apostates and other unrepentant sinners?
back in my dub days, i used to make copies of all the old recorded talks i could get my hands on.
in the process i was surprised to come across several talks in which the "faithful slave" tried to make the case that all the scriptures talking about the "heart" were not figurative, but referred to one's literal heart--the organ itself!
as i recall, they even incorporated some pseudo-scientific quotes as "proof" that the heart could effect your thoughts and motivations.
I remember articles the Borg vomited up speaking to this in the 60's. They alleged that the recipient of a heart transplant would take on personality and behavioral traits of the donor. Even as a 12 -13 yr old this crap pegged my BS detector.

i say mine is english with an admixture of german (before the nazis ever existed, no need to go on about that) northern french and italian from venice.
i look northern european and feel close to that part of the world with family tradition being roman catholic.
